So many issues here, where to begin?
These homeowners couldn't use their bathroom exhaust fan or heater because it would shut off the breaker. The breaker was doing its job, but this wiring hiding in the attic is unacceptable.

Another home updated.
This 1940s Beaverdale home had a majority of its original cloth wiring. While durable in its day, deteriorating insulation and the fact that grounding wasn’t standard practice at the time, this homeowner decided an upgrade was in order.
The home was fully rewired to modern standards without disturbing the original plaster.

Did you know smoke detectors have a 10-year lifespan? Over time, their sensors lose sensitivity—even if they look fine. A yellowed detector is one of the clearest signs it’s overdue for replacement.
Today’s smoke detectors are often hardwired into your home’s electrical system. This design maximizes battery life and ensures every unit sounds together, so everyone in the home hears the alarm if a catastrophe happens.
There’s nothing glamorous about these devices, but keeping them up to date and working properly could save a life.
