🎆 Fireworks are beautiful—but they can change lives in an instant.

Every year, thousands of people are injured in fireworks related incidents, and preventable fires cause devastating damage to homes and property. Most injuries occur in the weeks surrounding the Fourth of July, with burns to the hands, fingers, face, and eyes being the most common.

🚫As a Reminder Fireworks are NOT PERMITTED within the Clinton city limits!

Before you light that fuse, remember these important safety tips:

🧨 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.

👀 Always keep a safe distance from anyone using fireworks.

💧 Keep a bucket of water or garden hose nearby.

🚫 Never allow young children to handle fireworks, including sparklers, which can burn at temperatures hot enough to melt some metals.

🍺 Never mix fireworks with alcohol or drugs.

🧯 Never relight a firework that doesn't ignite—soak it in water and dispose of it safely.

🐶 Keep pets indoors to reduce stress and prevent them from running away.
