Last week we took fresh faces from our Living Young group on another tour of the Nissan plant in Canton, and it was an incredible experience once again! If you’ve never been, you’d truly be impressed by the innovation, technology, and teamwork happening right here in Mississippi. It’s truly a gem for our great state, and we’re grateful for opportunities like this that expose our group to excellence and possibility.

Our Golden Buddies had an amazing time during today’s team building activity! 🥗🍇 Participants teamed up to make sensational salads, including a fresh Greek salad and a sweet grape salad. Everyone had so much fun creating their dishes, working together, and of course enjoying every bite afterwards!

Nothing like a little creativity to brighten the day 💐✨
Our framed flower bouquet craft turned out absolutely beautiful! We love seeing our participants express themselves and have fun while doing it. These are definitely frame worthy!

Our Living Young Mini Conference was a SUCCESS! 💙✨

Yesterday from 9AM–4PM, we had an amazing time learning, connecting, and growing together. Our participants were engaged, asked great questions, and truly took away valuable information that will help them in their everyday lives.

A huge thank you to our incredible presenters who shared their knowledge and passion:

• Thoughtful Planning for Life’s Final Chapter – Porcia Gilmore, Dignity Memorial
• Personal Safety & Self-Defense – Lt. Michael Kelly, Clinton Police Department
• Brain Health – Meegie Jordan, AARP Mississippi
• Dementia Demystified – Natalie Tolar, Summerhouse Beau Ridge
• Understanding Hearing Loss – Dr. Anna Scarborough, Home Hearing Healthcare
• Healing Through Food – Chef Charles Smith, My Health My Mississippi

We also want to give a special THANK YOU to our sponsors:
Meegie Jordan with AARP for providing lunch for our seniors
Sarandon Lampley with Oak Street Health for sponsoring snacks throughout the conference

We truly appreciate your generosity and support in making sure our participants were well taken care of!

We also appreciate all of our wonderful vendors who came out to support and provide resources to our attendees: Oak Street Health, MIND Center, Electronic Caregivers, Baptist Hospice, Home Instead, Senior Medicare Patrol, Lakewood Funeral Home, Vital Caring, Senior Helpers, Home Hearing Healthcare, AARP, and Southeast Urogyn.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event so special. It was truly a great turnout, and we’re so proud of the impact this conference had on our Living Young community! 💫
