I made this for my father-in-law as a gift. He had mentioned a while back that he would like me to make him a back scratcher at some point. So, I put a funny face on it, let him know I had his back, and made it longer than normal since he’s a tall fellow 🤪. Crafted using oak because oak is well known for being very strong, flexible, and lasts a lifetime- functionally symbolizing how much I really do have his back with the face also symbolizing his humorous personality. The hand braided lanyard was meant to symbolize the bond he shares with our family and to also keep the scratcher from flying across the room when the itches get out of hand further symbolizing that no matter what happens in our lives, we will always reel each other in when things get crazy.

I never knew a simple back scratcher could have so much meaning- but it really does ❤️
