HELP US HELP YOU!

We've all been watching for a few days as weather forecasters have started bringing up the prospect of a significant winter storm hitting our area. We haven't had one in a while. Confidence is growing that we could see several of inches of snow, or possibly some ice. It's too early to tell exactly what kind of precipitation, or how much of each kind. In any case, our road crews are prepared to plow/treat Green Township streets. The trucks are loaded with salt and plows are on.

THAT IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP. When whatever winter precipitation we are going to get starts, if possible, please remove any vehicles you may have parked on the street to allow our trucks to clean and treat the streets as quickly, safely and completely as possible. We realize that everyone's situation is different and this may not always be possible , but if you can, please do. Also, please remember that if we see a large amount of snow, as the plows push the snow toward the sides of the street, it may be pushed near or around vehicles parked on the street, making it very difficult to move the car. We can't help that (or leaving snow at the end of your driveway).

Finally, it's important to remember that 3 different entities treat streets in Green Township. We (Green Township) take great pride in treating our neighborhood streets, mostly those with curbs and no yellow center-lines. Hamilton County treats their roads, which usually have center-lines, with or without curbs. The State of Ohio treats I-74, Glenway Avenue, Bridgetown Road and Colerain Avenue (state routes).
