Clever Bands

You know your percussionists are dedicated when they came in on a Saturday several weeks before band camp begins to start getting their drums ready!

Elena is the daughter of Craig and Lynn Navrkal. She has been in band for seven years, playing the flute. Elena was also the flute section leader and lettered three years in band. Her plans after high school are to attend OTC for general education and then pursue a business degree. Her favorite marching band show was Better Together, and favorite band memory was when Kelsey Stewart got an M&M stuck in her nose at Reeds Spring. Elena's advice to younger band members is, "Don't forget to have fun in the chaos of learning your movements."
