Full steam ahead.
Made a lot of progress this weekend, so much coding, fixes, database updates, testing, testing, more testing. Things are look bright for this lil' ol web platform.
My goal is to build a tool that helps 3D artists, those looking to earn few bucks in their idle time using their skillset. And those freelancers who may already have a client base, who can build their capacity even more with a stable of 3D artists at the ready.
And maybe somebody who does both. Earn, collect, ship your vision.
That's it. That's the platform.

A bit of UI/UX stuff.
I had a prior role at a startup where I did a bit of UI design. It was a ROUGH start. I always thought I sucked at it. Sometimes you just need a bit of time for principles to sink in.
This was a very iterative process, as it usually goes. The initial design is on the left, and my latest version on the right. It has a few more bells and whistles, darker theme, and a couple accent colors thrown in.
I haven't had a chance to really get into the weeds with the dashboard component of my web-app until this past week. I was able to think more thoroughly through the user experience and I'm quite happy where I ended up. The intent is not to add fluff but meaningful widgets that the user can user to their benefit.
Still under heavy development. I plan to launch the MVP this year (late summer?), if at all possible.

I'd like to announce a project I've been working on for the past year. You've seen a hint of it in my banner image update. Here are a couple more!
So what is it. What I'm looking to create is a gig ecosystem geared toward Blender users. What you see below are mockups of the Blender addon component.
Think of it as an incentivized forum for CG artists. You can post a gig, or claim a gig to work on - and earn. This is it, in its most basic explanation. There is plenty more coming, and plenty more that I need to do. I will eventually have a link to a funding page.
My goal, my desire is to give the CG community out there a bit of a life line. But hopefully more than that. Human collaboration is STILL relevant. There is a vast ocean between fulltime work, and idle clicks. Fill that void - do a few UV unwraps, clean up a mesh, bake a texture. Or conversely, gain back a little time and sub-contract out some tasks.
