We opened the portal to the summertime dimension once again

Grateful and humbled by all the love and support, especially those who rocked the CCC gear. It made me feel like I’m in a cool band or something. When I closed the doors at CCC HQ I lost my platform to connect with my cool coffee comrades. It was so good to see everyone again, and to share that experience with my family.

Gus made a lot of Rocket Fuels and Hyper Drives, essentially taking over the assembly line, a side of him I hadn’t seen before. Having raised my son in coffee shops it was a unique experience to see him take control and fly the rocket ship. I’m a proud coffee dad, and I am thankful that we all got to experience it ✨together✨

All love to the real ones for inviting us to their incredibly cool and fun tomato & pepper plant sale. We had to do it to ‘em.

A brief indulgence, a reflection on my experience: In the early days of the pandemic my second son was born and enduring the pressures of both business ownership and parenthood has been a lot. I am tired. The business plan did not include a pandemic protocol but I’m scrappy and creative and proud of how CCC adapted. As challenging as it has been to carry this burden through these strange times the hardest part so far is simply letting go. I loved being here. The vision was massive. People were really feeling it. This coffee shop was my dream, and we all kind of dreamed it into existence together.

Final thought: If you value independent, local, family owned businesses then get out there and support them! Otherwise they will vanish and you will be left with fast casual corporate coffee and the flavorless drinks, food and spaces they provide.

CCC today is better than ever. The experience I've curated is remarkable and I could not be happier with what we have grown into. Come through and drink a coffee with me before it’s all over.
