This week we celebrate our volunteers for the excellent work they do to advocate for long-term care residents. Angel Johnson is one of our volunteers who makes regular presence visits to facilities and assists with complaint handling when a concern is identified. Thank you Angel for all you do!

“What drew me to explore the opportunity was me being at that time a full-time caregiver for my dad who was diagnosed with a form of dementia and advocating for both my parents’ healthcare for years when they were living, gave me a heart to advocate for others.”

This week we celebrate our volunteers. Brooke Taylor is one of our volunteer Ombudsman who makes regular presence visits to her assigned facility and assists with complaint handling when a concern is identified. We appreciate all she does to advocate for long-term care residents.
“I was drawn to becoming an ombudsman because I enjoy advocating for others. Also, my grandmother lived in long-term care for the last few years of her life, and I was able to witness first-hand the challenges that came along with transitioning to and living in long term care.”
