Not all heroes wear capes—some live in the soil. 🍄🌱

A new study from Holden Forests & Gardens tracked the long-term results of a forest restoration experiment at Acacia Reservation. Researchers found that while some beneficial fungi successfully returned to the soil, soil conditions played an even bigger role in helping young trees thrive.

The findings remind us that restoring a forest isn't just about planting trees—it's about rebuilding an entire ecosystem, from the roots down.
