The temps are rising, but we are still in studio and teaching classes! In addition to our regular classes, we will be offering classes for individual pieces during the summer months (normally reserved for classes of 4 or more people).

By the time you arrive in the studio, the glory holes are glowing a beautiful orange and are about 1900-2000°. We are often asked what they look like “cold”. About an hour before we can blow glass, someone needs to “light up” the shop. Glory holes and pipe warmer are lit, annealer and pipe cooler are turned on, bucket water is changed, newspaper is folded and soaked, and color laid out. The magical calm of the studio before the first gather is pulled from the furnace ✨❤️‍🔥 🫧
