At CEBP, our expert researchers and consultants are instrumental in the development and implementation of our evidence-based practices and subsequent recovery among people with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorder. This Women's History Month, we are grateful as ever for the women trainer-consultants who make this work possible! Thank you to Deborah Myers, Heather Hoffman, Stephanie Lagalo, Deana Leber-George, Melissa Longstreth, and Cait Proctor-Frazier for everything you do!

Research tells us that more than 60 percent of people with severe mental illness want to work within their communities. Often, the issue of those with mental illness being unable to work is not because of a lack of desire, but a lack of resources or services. Supported Employment/Individual Placement and Support (SE/IPS) is an evidence-based practice aimed at helping those diagnosed with a mental illness or other disability find and gain active employment through either a full-time or part-time job. In contrast to traditional vocational rehabilitation, SE/IPS focuses on the goals of the patrons by placing them in a competitive job of their choice. By reinforcing this autonomy, consumers are able to find employment at more than double the rate at traditional services. https://www.centerforebp.case.edu/practices/se
