If you aren't at Divots Back9 Bar & Grill on Wednesday nights for trivia, what even are you doing?

We had an AMAZINGLY competitive couple of rounds of our absolutely awesome questions and answers this evening and lots of familiar faces were the beneficiaries!

That said, we had an awesome amount of brand spanking new teams dip in and, well, godd*m, were they enthusiastic to play.

I welcomed in ELEVEN teams this evening (five weeks - all double digit participation, let's keep...this...going!). We had ourselves some Just Guessin'. We had some Fam. We had some Toads. We had some Sting. We didn't have Moose (surprising!), but we did have the VIPS, 3 Amigos and good Lord...the Summer Breakers!

The atmosphere was tense and electric (it wasn't, it was bar trivia on a Wednesday night). The tension was THICK in the air (um...most people weren't really paying attention to the things you say that you think are humorous). This is untrue! Ashley behind the bar finds my witty asides to be unabashedly vibrant and cogent (...sigh...Ashley is too busy to care about what's spoken through your $25 speaker).

Well, at least the game was PERFECT!

Alas, it was not, I failed to set not 1, but TWO questions for the 3:00 threshold (:30 instead). HUGE fail on my part. In my defense, I'm really bad at this.

Anywho...

Royale W/Cheese was your BIG winner this evening. Led by that photogenic Richard, they took both a first and second. In round 1, they answered 15 out of 17 questions correctly. In round 2, they didn't know what a mortarboard was used for (make it make sense!). Jokes and truths aside, they outclassed the field today. Not only in their acumen, but also in their...vibes (millennials and all).

Ladies and gentlemen - The Branes have been washouts at Divots Back9 Bar & Grill for lo these many weeks. However in a quite surprising turn of events when literally everyone, included Ashley thought Just Guessin' was going to take a first place docket - The Branes managed to get a correct answer in (during my :30 error on a final!?!) to secure a first place victory. Huzzah, kudos. They AND the Bookworms answered 12 of 17 correctly in the 'always easier' second round (results vary).

Fantastic night, fantastic weather, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic crowd, fantastic wait and back of house staff. Couldn't be enjoying this venue more unless Randy was playing (that's a call back).

Thanks everyone for their support of this night. I know it's possible many of you drive by 6 different trivia nights to attend at Divots Back9 Bar & Grill. I also realize we are in a non monogomous trivia relationship and I'm not 'trying' to be all 'Sleeping With The Enemy,' but...
..we'll see you next week.

STAY CURIOUS!

Well, there's good news and bad news regarding tonight's game at Divots Back9 Bar & Grill.

Went up this afternoon in an effort to make the connections work for both the large inside and outside TVs, but that outside TV does not want to play nice. I tried hdmi to both via splitter, I tried hdmi to one and networking to the other, I tried networking to both, but outside, unless it's isolated, will not allow for a secondary connection/screen mirroring. Until I figure it out, that is. More to come on that.

However, the GOOD news is that I WAS able to network into a secondary TV inside. I know sometimes depending on where you're sitting the sight lines to the big indoor tv can be tricky, but tonight we'll also be on higher up on that television near the main entryway (see photo below). This was request from a couple of players, so happy to accommodate.

Tonight's game is set, vetted and tested. It's been deemed 'A-1' by myself and 'choice' by at least one other. So....you're in for a good time.

TV's aside, reminder that we are also on the app if you wanted to play outside, but I will not be bringing that extra speaker until the TV situation is figured out there. Plan accordingly.

It's 2:30 - so it's the vinyl count gown for trivia for the week - make a plan, place can fill up, but the garage doors are open, it's absolutely lovely in there and as Thin Lizzy said, 'the drinks will flow AND the blood will spill'.

North Royalton - June is upon us. It's summer. Suns out - guns out (and by guns, I mean your muscular brains)!

It's time to settle into the weekly rhythm of your mid-week break and experience a game of questions and answers with a smattering of toxic positivity and enjoyable edutainment. Things that might rhyme with Porkle or Cast Lall cannot supply what we supply. We are small batch, craft curated trivia expertly putting together categories and questions that are fun, challenging, thought provoking...and sometimes...spicy.

Come experience the difference. We say it all the time: If you play with us, you stay with us. And we also say there is NO losing, there is only learning.

So make a plan to get to Divots Back9 Bar & Grill Wednesday (early). The game starts at 7pm and then another game at 8pm. 2 rounds and we pay out FOUR winning teams each and every week. It's totally worth your time.

Wednesday's regular round categories are posted below, teams of 8 or less to be prize-eligible, room can fill up quickly so it's always good to get there as early as your schedule allows. We're hoping to be tied into the outdoor TV this time around.
