This warm weather has me SO EXCITED already for summer 🤭 fyi BAM 3.0 is coming in September which is 6 months away but it’s going to FLY I can feel it divas

I got my Nikon D3300 for Christmas in 2015 and spent 2016 channeling my angst into photography and drastic haircuts. I did a little ceramics in school and loved it. I always found a way to make my ceramics assignments much more complicated than they needed to be. (Like this vase. We were supposed to make a slab built vase with a totem pole design — idk what my teacher was thinking — and I said okay but how about if mine is a fish instead?) But it wasn’t until fall semester of 2018 when I took my first ceramics elective (my junior year at CIA) that I really started to think about ceramics seriously. It’s hard to believe ceramics has been a part of life for over 10 years and that I’ve been calling myself an artist for even longer. I feel so blessed to be making art and doing something creative with my hands and my brain. Even writing this caption is a creative exercise. It is important to make stuff, no matter how it turns out. Making bad art is the only path to making good art. I don’t know what I’m trying to say here other than, wow 10 years, and wow I’m glad I’m a human, and wow I’m glad I started making art, and that I kept doing it over and over again until it brought me here
