Welcome to the DS Architecture Team, Adam Rosekelly!
-
Adam will be joining DS Architecture as a Senior Project Manager and Studio Director. Adam grew up in the small town of Norwalk, OH. He was active in sports, but always had a passion for building, art, and making things. He knew from a young age that Architecture was something he wanted to pursue. He felt like his childhood building blocks and toys didn’t allow him to express the forms and shapes in his head. He found Kent State University’s School of Architecture and Urban Design to be the perfect launchpad and testing ground to further explore these concepts. Adam was later afforded the opportunity at Kents’ program to continue his passion for experimentation through teaching design studio.
-
Entering the profession at a time when digital modeling and rendering software were in their infancy, Adam was captivated by the potential. He pursued a master’s degree in digital technology at University of Michigan’s Taubman College, testing ideas through both new digital methods and fabrication techniques, such as robotics and parametric design. Shortly after obtaining this degree, he established his own firm, Architecture Office. Throughout his career, he has always pushed boundaries influenced by both analog and digital worlds. He remains inspired and influenced by music, art, technology, and building tectonics and is looking forward to exploring these ideas as part of a larger team at DS Architecture.

ODNR Appalachian Hills Wildlife Center Ribbon Cutting
-
Last Friday, our team traveled south to visit the brand new Appalachian Hills Wildlife Center, a project DS Architecture was proud to be a part of. It was an action-packed morning We also got to help celebrate “Hornaday” the bull’s birthday alongside Governor Mike DeWine and local schoolchildren who will enjoy this space for years to come. The ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorated the opening of the Appalachian Hills Wildlife Area Visitor Center and a new campground and cabins at nearby Jesse Owens State Park.
-
Not only is the Appalachian Hills Wildlife Center home to countless birds, bass, and deer, but it is also now home to bison. These spectacular large mammals, a native species that was once found in the wild across Ohio two-hundred years ago can be viewed from a covered, open-air deck, or from the 360-degree scenic ramp. While bison no longer roam freely in the wild, the Appalachian Hills herd is a symbol of conservation.
-
The visitor center is a two story timber structure designed to reflect the history and character of the Appalachian region. Expansive floor to ceiling glazing frames panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, creating a strong visual connection between the building and its site. Inside, a large scale topographic map illustrates the unglaciated terrain of Ohio, underscoring the region’s unique geography and recreational potential. Interactive interpretive elements are integrated throughout the space, using architecture as a platform to tell the story of the area’s wildlife, forests, and ongoing conservation efforts.
-
This project was an incredibly rewarding journey for the DS Architecture team, made even more meaningful through the collaboration and expertise of Osborn Engineering and Deru Landscape Architecture. Working alongside such talented partners helped transform a shared vision into a place that will educate, inspire, and connect people to the landscape for years to come.

Happy Easter!
-
Easter represents renewal, light, and the quiet return of color after winter’s pause. This mood board interprets Easter through the language of interior design — soft palettes, layered textures, and organic materials that mirror the season’s sense of awakening.
-
Muted pastels, sunlit yellows, dusty roses, and airy blues echo the colors of early spring landscapes, while natural woods and woven textiles ground the palette with warmth and familiarity. Textured tiles and tactile fabrics introduce dimension, reflecting the way new growth and movement return to the world this time of year.
-
Together, these elements create a space that feels fresh, optimistic, and gently playful — capturing the essence of Easter as a celebration of new beginnings, lightness, and life returning to our surroundings.
