We are thrilled to reveal legendary choreographer Dianne McIntyre as part of Ladies of the ’80s! ✨

A longtime collaborator with Dancing Wheels, Dianne first created “Sweet Radio Radicals” in 2008 — a celebration of women’s music across the 20th century — and later brought Mary Verdi-Fletcher’s extraordinary life story to the stage in “Dancing on a Dream.” Her work has continually celebrated resilience, artistry, accessibility, and the power of integrated dance.

For our 45th Anniversary Gala presentation, Ladies of the ’80s, Dianne returns with a brand-new work titled ATTITUDE featuring the music of iconic artists Patti LaBelle and Anita Baker. Inspired by the energy and spirit of Patti LaBelle after attending one of her concerts, Dianne’s newest piece promises powerful movement, soul, and unmistakable ’80s flair.

Dianne shares that she has been “overjoyed” to work once again with the dancers of Dancing Wheels, whose generosity, artistry, and seamless collaboration between standing and wheelchair dancers continue to inspire her.
Stay tuned for more from Ladies of the ’80s! 💜
