As the school year comes to a close, I want to reflect on how far you have come. It could be that you are moving up in your school career and/or you have had a mental battle that you have either overcome or are battling. Whatever the case is, God is with you every breath you take, every move you make.
(See what I did there?)
I wanted to touch on the subject of fear this week. Fear can either be physical or mental. You could have a fear of heights, or you can have fear of failure. Either way, fear is still the same.
Isaiah 41:10 and 13 says, "Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I am your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I, your God, have had a firm grip on you and I"m not letting go."
For me personally, I have a fear of the future. I am graduating and going to college. But the thing is, I haven't found something I am extremely passionate about or that I want to do for the rest of my life. I am a planner, so this is just adding to my fear of the future. People expect great things from me and I am scared that I won't live to those expectations. I know that He has plans for me that I can't see at the moment. And that really scares me. And as I mentioned last week, God is always with you whether you know it or not.
Proverbs 31:25 says, "She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future." We are clothed in strength and dignity.
So laugh at the face of fear. Have courage and know that the Lord is with you.
