Beautiful yet chaotic nature.
Getting my two favorite things in one video was quite challenging. But this morning I tossed my latest DGR in a backpack, grabbed a flyrod and took a little hike. Upon finding some quality water, I made a few cast and when I hooked this fish my heart started racing because I’ve been trying to achieve this video for a long time. As this 26in lake run rainbow trout jumped and skipped down stream my hopes of achieving this video started to sink. I turned my rod, applied pressure and I slowly brought the fish to the net. Working alone I quickly sn**ch the recycler out of the bag and tossed it the water. The fish started jumping in the net trying to escape. I plucked my phone from my waders which were still soaked from the previous day of fishing. I knew I had one chance to take this video. I fired on the camera and pans down the fish he swam towards the rig which made my heart race and then dashed off into the deep. I present you with my latest woodgrain DGR.
