June is when geese stop flying and start settling in.
Every year in Ohio, Canada Geese go through a molting period starting in mid-June in the southern part of the state and moving north over the following weeks. During that time, the flock stays on your property for up to a month. They cannot fly, so they walk.
They graze the turf down to dirt. They fill retention ponds with waste that raises nitrogen levels and fuels algae growth. Droppings on parking lots, walkways, and building entrances become a liability.

Off the clock Jett keeps things simple. Walks, backyard time, balls, and stuffies. A dog who knows how to decompress.
On the job he is all business. Herding geese is his thing and he is very, very good at it.
