**PSA** MILITARY FUNERAL PROCESSION through Canaan Twp., City of Wooster, and Wooster Township Friday (8/22) evening between 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (estimated)
On December 1st, 1950, Korean War, East Chosin Reservoir, North Korea, United States Army 1stLt. William H. Hott was killed in action. 1stLt. Hott a native of Holmesville, Ohio served with the 32nd Regiment 7th Infantry Division. 1st Lt. Hott is the 100th service member from the 55 boxes of remains that were turned over by North Korea in 2018 for identification. 1stLt. Hott also fought in WWII and was a recipient of numerous medals.
1stLt. Hott's remains will arrive at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Friday at approximately 6:39 p.m. There will be a brief military ceremony during his casket removal from the aircraft. The es**rt will then be leave Cleveland Hopkins and travel south on I-71 led by Wayne County Sheriff's Office to State Route 83 south passing by Canaan Twp. FD station 2 before entering Wooster City limits where Wooster P.D. will assist with the es**rt through the city limits.
The 555th "Triple Nickle" Military Honors Detachment will be posted at Grace Church (Wooster) to render honors to the procession as they pass by entering the city limits. The procession will then continue on State Route 83 south passing by by Wooster Township Fire Department who will pay their respects. The procession's final destination will be Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg.
1stLt. Hott also fought in WWII and was awarded 17 different medals.
