This temporary public‑space activation reimagines an outdoor basketball court through participatory placemaking and low‑cost programming. By engaging the broader community, the project explores how short‑term, experimental interventions can generate new uses, social connections, and insights for neighborhood public space. The activation tests the impact of time‑limited recreational and visual interventions on social use and community interaction. The event will feature organized basketball games alongside interactive elements that invite real‑time, documented, and reflective participation, encouraging creative input and community‑driven dialogue around public space design.

Calling all stakeholders of Ohio City + the Flats West Bank! Join us ✨ this weekend ✨ for a and graduate student-led design charrette to reimagine public space on the Superior Viaduct.

Both sessions on Saturday and Sunday at 5pm are open to the public and we look forward to hearing YOUR ideas for how to connect this unique infrastructure and space to existing and proposed nearby developments. We know it’s popular for dog walkers and wedding photo shoots given the awesome view towards - what else do you want to do here? No registration necessary - just show up!
