Matthew 4:1-25 New Testament Bible Study May 27, 2026

Welcome to our midweek faith booster and New Testament Bible study. Last week’s chapter ended with Jesus’ baptism, which marked the beginning of His public ministry. In Matthew 4, He retreats to the wilderness, fasts for 40 days, and overcomes three temptations from Satan. The chapter closes with Jesus calling the brothers Peter and Andrew, as well as James and John, to follow Him and fish for men. As He preached, taught, and healed, His fame spread widely throughout Galilee.
Please join us this Thursday at 6 PM for Weekly Word Outdoor Adventures, featuring "Brock Holler Spring." Just outside Englewood, Tennessee, Brock Holler is home to a spring that flows from the south end of Chestnut Ridge. I have fond childhood memories of going there with my PaPaw and MaMaw to clean out the spring from time to time. It can be hard to find, but once you spot the rock, you’ll know you are there.
