In February 2025, Vocalize is bringing back The Community Interpreter (TCI): Medical Focus! The program will be open to speakers of ALL languages. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a medical interpreter with us!

After this session, participants will:
1. Know how to perform professional interpreting protocols and skills for medical interpreting.
2. Be able to adhere to professional ethics and standards of practice for medical interpreters.
3. Understand the profession of community interpreting, its specializations, and how you fit into that profession.
4. Know the role and responsibilities of the community interpreter.
5. Understand cultural competence and assess if, when and how to perform cultural mediation.
6. Be able to perform in three modes of interpreting: consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation.

It’s incredible to see that we already passed our first goal of saving clinics $100,000 with our services! With over 950+ hour of interpretation done for our clinics with interprets from all over the country, we’re almost at our third goal!
