Today we will focus on the risk posed by cannabis or CBD interacting with medications that you may be taking. The risk from these interactions stems from either THC or CBD causing the level of the conventional medication to go either up or down. Generally, conventional medications are safe and effective within a range of blood levels. If the level gets too high, it can be toxic. If the level gets too low, the medicine can cease to work, which can be very dangerous too.
There is a column for CBD and a column for THC (cannabis). You’ll note that there are three designations in the columns (Y = there is an interaction, beware! N = no or no significant interaction. T = theoretical interaction but not seen or not concerning in the real world.)
As you can see, most of the meds that you asked about are relatively unaffected by either CBD or THC. The group of medications that I added are more concerning and are affected mostly by CBD. Of course, these are not complete lists and you should be aware that many medication-checker websites and applications are not complete or accurate when it comes to cannabis or CBD. The above lists cannot be considered medical advice and you should consult with MD.

The endocannabinoidsystem is our favorite topic.
But let's be clear, our understanding of the system is JUST begining and frankly, the science we have done on the ECS is actually pretty flawed.
Science first framed this entire ECS concept around the idea that was the "master key" to the system...but instead it was a very specific key that only cannabis produces...
The truth is that our ECS is a huge, complex, and diverse system that uses the in your body and your diet to maintain
it is made up of MANY receptors and MANY signals...and THC and CBD interact more intricately than we every realized with these other receptors (GPR's) and ion channels (TRP's).
This larger system has been dubbed the - the magical system inside all of us!

NEW VENDOR SPOTLIGHT
SOW EDEN was founded by Jacob and Lindsey, two LA love birds whose products are all made in-house, in small batches, with organic and ultra-premium ingredients that are honestly sourced.
GLOW - Citrus Bergamia, otherwise known as Bergamot, is an Italian variety of bitter orange renowned for its skin rejuvenating and mood-lifting qualities. Bergamot essential oil helps to alleviate inflammation from eczema, psoriasis, dry or flakey skin, rashes, as well as pain relief. Grapefruit’s antioxidant properties help shield and repair the skin from damaging UV rays and environmental toxins. This invigorating blend of citrus melds perfectly with the amazing properties of CBD. The total terpene content is over 3% in GLOW. Terpenes help deliver CBD through the skin.
BLOOM - We cannot speak highly enough about the aromatherapeutic benefits of true Rose essential oil. The intoxicating scent of the Damask Rose promotes emotional balance and wellness and calms the mind, body, and spirit. Researchers believe rose oil may stimulate the brain to release endorphins, the “feel-good” hormone, as well as dopamine. A number of clinical studies have found that rose oil helps to improve the symptoms of depression, while another study found that when rose oil was applied topically, blood pressure, heart rates, breathing rates, and cortisol levels all decreased. The subjects also reported feeling much more relaxed following the treatment. The combination of true rose essential oil and broad-spectrum CBD provides powerful relief from inflammation and discomfort, especially pain associated with the menstrual cycle such as abdominal cramping and lower back pain.
CALM - One of Calm's powerhouse ingredients, cinnamon bark oil, encourages blood circulation and helps to alleviate pain and inflammation. Cinnamon also possesses anti-aging qualities by increasing collagen expression on the skin through its main chemical component, Cinnamaldehyde. The other main ingredient, vanilla bean, has anti-inflammatory benefits as well, so Calm helps to soothe irritated skin and is rich in the bioflavonoid/antioxidant, Vanillin, which helps protect against…
