The current moratorium on evictions is set to expire at the end of the month and the Biden Administration has stated they do not plan to extend it again this time. Instead it will be up to Congress to do so.

The lift of this ban this could mean a wave of evictions that have been sitting idle and could flood our legal system.

This is two fold. Many property owners who are small mom and pop operations have faced hardship because of tenants who cannot pay. Tenants have faced hardship from job loss or loss of income and cannot pay rent or keep up with payments. It necessary that both sides of this equation are supported in order not to create a domino effect of future hardships.
