You heard right, Gothic Coastal is the newly invented style taking the country by storm! A literal storm; one that rolls over your sea-sprayed Victorian manse as you stroll through tenderly stroking your curtains, and reminiscing of the Merman you f**ked long ago. Gothic Coastal takes the delicate yet macabre energy of the Late Middle Ages, and juxtaposes it with breezy, beachy textures and motifs for a truly original aesthetic. Imagine yourself as a wealthy heiress in an Edgar Allen Poe novel, sans the paranoia and untimely passing. There will be bird skulls and heavy textiles, and you will love it - give us a scroll for some proof!

Have you been wondering what Delft is, but didn’t want to ask for fear of sounding like a total idiot? Well you are safe with us, dear scroller; gather ‘round for a little lesson from The Delft Chicken.

Delft is an often blue & white decorative style, named after the city in Holland, Netherlands where it is created. In true 17th century white-person fashion, these designs were originally appropriated from super gorg Chinese motifs dating back to the 1400’s. While we usually see this style represented on ceramics, many including the ladies at The Delft Chicken have bastardized the blue & white (in a good way!) and plastered it on just about everything that we can.
We adopt Delft as part of our moniker because of our pure love and enthusiasm for its versatility.
