In Greek astronomy, Virgo represents D**e, goddess of justice, holding the scales of justice, represented by the constellation Libra.

Diana is the Roman goddess of the hunt and wild animals, while simultaneously the goddess of the countryside and domesticated animals. This arguably made her the antithesis of Minerva, known as Athena to the Greeks. She is a virgin goddess (as in, she never married), and she was the goddess of childbirth and midwifery and birthed demigods herself. She represented the Earth in a goddess triad with Selene (the Heavens, goddess of the moon) and Hecate (the Underworld, goddess of witches). She was also known as Trivia, goddess of the crossroads. Early on, Diana and Artemis, of the Greek pantheon, were worshipped as the same goddess. Artemis is the Greek goddess of the moon and the twin sister of Apollo, the god of the sun.

Virgo season is associated with the harvest & agriculture because it marks the beginning of harvest season for much of the northern hemisphere.
