So l catch hell from folks bc l don’t REHOME even rat snakes. I will tell you why!!! I tried being nice to a young one as it didn’t seem to want but a few eggs here and there so against my better judgement of raising chickens for years l would simply move him out to the field. Well last night l guess eggs weren’t enough for him anymore!!!! Last night he cost me almost $700.00 bucks in my KikiRiki pen and all were hens!!!! 2 bolos a nn and a lions head🤬!!!! That’s why l don’t REHOME any kind of predator!!!!! The ones he couldn’t eat he sucked their heads down his throat and killed them that way. Sooooo now back to my original way of dealing with snakes or any other predators. 700 bucks later l knew l should have just followed my gut and done away with him like l knew l should. He’s over next time l see him and yes l use tons of snake away and other deterrent!!!!!
