Who’s Watching You?

In every class, there are students watching closely. Not just the instructors—but the older students standing beside them.

They watch how you train when things get difficult. They watch how you handle mistakes. They watch how you treat your teammates, listen to instruction, and carry yourself on and off the mat.

Leadership isn’t a title. It’s a responsibility.

The younger students in these photos and videos are learning more than kicks and punches. They’re learning what it means to be disciplined, respectful, and resilient by following the example set by those who came before them.

Every action sends a message. The question is: What message are you sending to those who are watching you?

Kicking off Week 2 at the Science Museum!

This picture tells a simple story.

A few students are kicking the standing bag, while a few others cheer them on. But if we look a little closer, we can see not only who they are today, but who they will become.

The students cheering were once the kickers themselves—new, eager, and motivated. Through years of training, they have grown into leaders. Now they carry the responsibility of returning what was once given to them: guidance, support, and encouragement.

It’s a simple story, but it’s one I’m proud to watch unfold in our dojang each and every day.

Strong leaders aren’t built overnight. They are built slowly through consistency, service, and a commitment to helping others succeed.

Leaders built slowly are leaders built strong.
