Yaya’s Juke Joint: The Musical R***e is coming to The Clayton Center. Presented by Book Black Women, this immersive live theatrical music experience brings the spirit of historic Southern juke joints to the stage through live music, storytelling, and audience participation.

Written by Ayana Washington, with set production by Steven Langston and historical consultation by Tyanna West.

Featuring Yaya, Ty the Historian, Eclectic Soul, and DJ Tommy Lee.

Expect soul and blues-inspired performances, rich cultural storytelling, and a joyful celebration of Black history, resilience, and community.
