Laila is from Afghanistan. She came to the United States 4 years ago. In Afghanistan she worked for the US military as an operational assistant. When she moved here she started working through Amplio with one of our clients at the front desk. Laila transitioned a month ago to our Amplio team. ⁣

Teddy is from Ethiopia and has been in the United States for nine years. He is a husband and father to 2 children. He recently opened a church in the Clarkston area and is currently the pastor. Teddy joined our team a month ago and is currently working part time.⁣

These are the faces of some of our Afghan employees 🇦🇫. They formed a soccer team and placed 2nd in our Nations Cup ⚽. Some of these guys served as translators and contractors with the US military before being resettled in America. I'm grateful they were allowed to come and contribute to our local economy. They have started businesses, paid taxes, volunteered in the community and stepped into jobs most Americans would never be able to cope with.

Now there are thousands more like them who are incredibly vulnerable. There also happens to be a massive labor shortage in the US leaving our economy vulnerable. We strongly urge the US Government to evacuate and resettle Afghans in the US where they can join find stability and stabilize our local economy.
