“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” - Luke 2:11 (NIV)

The Messiah has come, his name is Immanuel, Christ with us. Some call Him Yeshua! But He is here with us!

"Christmas is based on an exchange of gifts: the gift of God to man—His Son; and the gift of man to God—his heart." - Vance Havner

The concept of Rooftop Ministries! This is what we’re here for!

Photoshop of the day - Lower me down, so Jesus can raise me up.

If you turn to Mark 2, you'll read about one of the very first miracles that Jesus performed in His earthly ministry. And of all the miracles that Jesus did, this one definitely stands out among the rest.

Jesus was surrounded by a crown as He preached to them inside of a home. All the while a paralyzed man was being carried by four of his friends, and they had to literally break a hole in the roof just to get to Jesus. The Bible says that the four men lowered their friend (mat and all), down to Jesus for a miracle. And Jesus was so moved by their faith, that their friend actually received two miracles that day. He was forgiven of his sins, and he was cured of his paralysis and able to walk again. Jesus addressed both the spiritual and physical needs of this man, and the crowd (which at first had been an obstacle) was now given a front row seat of God's power.

This of course is foreshadowing of the gospel of Christ that would be revealed at the end of His ministry. While healing the sick and giving sight to the blind is something that God can do, it doesn't really matter very much if you are still dead in your sins. Christ would go to a cross, experience the torture and humiliation, and pay the penalty for our sins with His death. He would go down into the grave and hell, and then be raised up three days later. He had to go down before He would go up.

Likewise with the paralyzed man, he had to go down to Jesus. This wasn't time for good works, earning favor, or doing anything in your own power to deserve grace. In fact the man couldn't do any of those thing. This miracle was never about what you can do, but what Christ can do. And ironically, it wasn't even his faith that saved him, it was the faith of others. God is showing us that there is absolutely NOTHING we bring to the table that makes us worthy.

The paralyzed man went down, and Jesus raised Him up. That's really all that is required of us for salvation. We must come humbly before Him, recognizing that there is nothing we can do on our own. We are dead spiritually and we are also "paralyzed" with in the inability to save ourselves. And when we get to that point, it is when Jesus will reveal His grace and mercy to us.

Finally, don't wait for the crowd to cooperate with you before you go down. You might spend all our life waiting for just the right moment, when everything has turned out exactly as you planned. Only to realize that that day really never arrives. Jesus is always available and ready to forgive you of your sins. Go down, and He'll raise you up!

Today is a day of GRATITUDE. I am grateful and full of thanks for my God and His forgiving heart!

“With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! So bless the Lord, all his messengers of power, for you are his mighty heroes who listen intently to the voice of his word to do it. Bless and praise the Lord, you mighty warriors, ministers who serve him well and fulfill his desires. I will bless and praise the Lord with my whole heart! Let all his works throughout the earth, wherever his dominion stretches— let everything bless the Lord!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭1‬, ‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Today, at sundown, began the Hebraic new year 5785! Rosh Hashanah = Head of the Year

5785 is stepping through the door of promise from 5784 to double grace, completion, and new beginnings! This a time of speaking two forms of the breath of God!

“Adonai make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you!”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭6‬:‭25‬ ‭TLV‬‬

“Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭TLV‬‬

5 (Hei) – Grace, Revelation, and Divine Breath
There may be an emphasis on God "breathing" new life into areas that have been dormant. And areas of God “breathing” blessing into the spirit of man!

7 (Zayin) – Spiritual Warfare, Completion, and Rest
"Zayin" represents a sword or weapon, often symbolizing spiritual warfare and completion.

8 (Chet) – New Beginnings, Life, and Resurrection
"Chet" symbolizes new beginnings and resurrection life.(80) represents mouth, to speak, two forms of.

5 (Hei) – A Double Portion of Grace and Revelation
With two instances of "Hei" in 5785, there may be a sense of a "double portion" of God’s grace and revelation in this year.

Prophetically I believe God is giving a double measure of grace as He breathes His breath and Holy Spirit into our spirits for revival and resurrection power!

Welcome to this new season! 5785!
