The Buce pots we have available right now are some of the fullest and healthiest we've seen.

Bucephalandra is a relatively new genus of plants to the aquarium trade. They are found only in Borneo, and it is currently debated how many exact species and variants exist.

The most common way to grow Bucephalandra is as an epiphyte, meaning attached to rocks or driftwood. Once established and when provided ample light these plants exhibit a wide spectrum of colors from vibrant reds and deep purples to iridescent blues and greens.

There is not a fish here in the store that doesn't LOVE frozen food!

Mixing frozen food into your fish's diet has a ton of benefits:

⭕️ varied diet enhances fish immune systems, growth rate and coloration

⭕️ more nutrients and vitamins are retained during the flash freezing process than when processing flakes or pellets

⭕️ mimics natural feeding habits and can entice picky eaters

Looking for a large tetra that is still considered peaceful?

Congo Tetras are stunning fish once fully grown. Males develop long trailing, feathery fins and have more color than their female counterparts. To get the best development out of males, keeping mixed groups of both males and females together is important.

It is quite common to see a layer of film on the surface of freshwater aquariums. This film is a build up of proteins, oils, bacteria and other organics that your filter is unable to filter out; the more still the surface is, the more that film builds up.

Powered surface skimmers are easy way to address surface biofilms. All you have to do is set it at the correct level, plug it in and within hours you will see a noticeable difference!

Stop in and get yours today!

We have been breeding these Santa Maria Endler guppies at home for a bit now, and we finally have some available in the store!

The main "Santa Maria" black saddle genetic pattern was originally created by way of fancy guppies (P. reticulata) in Japan during the 1990s. Throughout the 2000s, breeders integrated those stable black pigment genes into Endler guppies (P. wingei), and by 2015, the Santa Maria Endler line was stable enough to breed true, allowing for worldwide distribution.

Barbs have a reputation amongst fish keepers of being plant eaters and fin nippers, but not all do - which is why we love the African Banded Barb!

These small shoaling fish tend to be peaceful and thrive in groups in planted aquariums. While some more delicate plants may be picked at, this behavior is often deterred by feeding a varied diet including spirulina and other plant based foods.
