Not every wildflower is harmless. Knowing the morphological differences between Queen Annes lace and Poison Hemlock can protect people and pets.

Poison Hemlock has smooth hollow stems with purple blotches, while Queen Annes lace has hairy stems and a more delicate appearance. Proper identification matters before touching or removing either plant.
