What an incredible day in Avondale! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Juneteenth Carnival Block Party, hosted by CAFA, the Avondale Community Council, and SOACT. With more than 500 community members in attendance, the energy, love, and unity on display made this event truly special.

From the food and games to the giveaways, music, and community fellowship, this was a celebration of culture, freedom, and community. We fed hundreds of families, gave away amazing prizes, and created a space where neighbors, families, and friends could come together and celebrate.

A special thank you to our partners, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and everyone who played a role in making this event possible. Your support, dedication, and commitment to our community helped make the day a tremendous success.

Back in 2021, Atlanta dads Keith A. Lewis Jr. and Jermaine Clark founded “I’m a Father First,” a nonprofit helping local boys from single-parent homes or homes without a father present.

The future of Avondale is in great hands. 💚

Our Avondale Youth Council joined the University of Cincinnati for a hands-on Green Space Workshop, where they learned about environmental stewardship, community design, and ways to create healthier, more vibrant spaces for everyone.

We are proud to invest in our youth and provide opportunities for them to have a voice in shaping the community they call home. 🌱
