Clifton Branch Library

Need or want to donate seeds? The Clifton Branch Seed Library is the perfect free community resource to use! Located next to the front desk, the seed library has vegetables, flowers, and even some herbs! You are welcome to take as much you’d like, but there are bags provided for smaller amounts. While you’re at it, feel free to research gardening tips with our Seed Library Reference Binder.

Any donations, either from your garden or leftovers, should be clearly labeled before donation. However, all donations are appreciated! As well, we can’t guarantee the quality of our seeds, due to them being donations and some being multiple years old.

Calling all young movie fans! Join the Clifton Branch Library for snacks and a watch party of the animated movie GOAT (2026) on Monday, July 13, from 2:00–3:45PM. The movie is about a young goat who is trying to achieve his dream of becoming a professional “roarball” player. The movie stars Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, and Stephen Curry.

Rated PG. Runtime: 1 hour, 40 minutes.

Recommended for children, teens, and families. Registration is not required.

Summer Reading Prizes are in full swing! Any participant with a complete 25-day (kids) or 15-day (teens) Summer Reading challenge sheet can present the sheet at any library branch to get their prize! These prizes include: Pop-it Ball, Drawstring Bag, Wrist Disc Flyer, Doodle Journal, and VOX Trading Cards. While selecting from these prizes, participants can feel free to pick up the 15-day bonus challenge sheet to earn an extra prize!

As well, stop into any branch daily to spin the Wonder Wheel with activities like Would You Rather, Tangrams, and Rock, Paper, Scissors. After completing your activity, participants can choose from a magnetic bookmark, temporary tattoo, or Canes voucher as a prize.

Summer Reading goes through July 31st. Available for ages 0-18.

Unlock your recycling power with our July Recycling social.

Join us July 11th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. as a representative from Hamilton County ReSource will teach us recycling basics and then dive deeper into how to safely dispose of hard-to-recycle household items and hazardous waste. Come with all your questions about what to do with those confusing items that shouldn’t go in the recycling bin, trash bin, or compost bin.

After the presentation there will be an opportunity to practice sorting skills. Participants are encouraged to bring one medium sized bag of clean dry items to sort.

Beat the heat with Wellbeing Walks in Clifton’s very own Burnet Woods!

Walkers can meet on the Clifton Branch Library front porch, where staff will depart with all participants at 10AM. The walk will last approximately 30 minutes, and all bodies and abilities are welcome to participate.

The first Monday of every month, our partners from the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati will lead a walk and discuss the health benefits of walking and being in nature. Come enjoy some fresh air and breathtaking views on a paved path through the beautiful Burnet Woods.

Program is weather permitting. Registration is not required.

You’re invited to the Clifton Library Community Picnic. Monday July 6th from 6-7:30 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to bring your dinner to enjoy picnic style on our front lawn. We encourage you to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you like, music and games provided.

We recently hosted a brick building event at the Clifton Branch to celebrate the opening of the LEGO® Jurassic World: The Exhibition at Museum Center.

Check out the creations on display near the main desk until the end of June.

Star gazers rejoice!

Clifton Branch is pleased to announce that we once again have a telescope for lending. The telescope can be checked out for a period of 7 days to any customer who has an unlimited card that is in good standing.
