Some of us are praying for God to change our circumstances while refusing to release the very thing keeping us stuck.
The bitterness. The secret sin. The unhealthy relationship. The pride. The fear. The addiction. The guilt from yesterday.
We ask God for freedom, but cling to our chains.
Jesus said, "People loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil" (John 3:19). The hardest part of transformation isn't that God is unwilling to change us—it's that we often become comfortable with the things destroying us.
What if the breakthrough you're praying for is on the other side of surrender?
"Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." (1 Peter 5:6)
The path to freedom begins when we stop making excuses, step into the light, and confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9).
Take a moment today and ask yourself:
What am I remaining loyal to that God is calling me to leave behind?
Because your future cannot flourish while your flesh keeps feeding on what is killing it.
