Keep You Moving - Integrative Medical Massage
Happy New Year! It's that time again for New Year's resolutions about starting better health habits, getting in shape, and living better. So why not make things easier on yourself with clinical massage?
I'd be honored to help you in your journey of personal growth and health improvement with my own clinical massage therapy services!
It is a bit of a different kind of massage than you might imagine, where I use less traditional Swedish massage and much more muscle-specific techniques to help you reach your goals of hurting less, moving better, and living better. Then, I usually suggest stretches and activities you can do on your own time to maintain the progress you make in the office.
Together, we'll work to Keep You Moving!

These delightful holidays can be stressful, and stress can cause our usual aches and pains to get worse!
Not to mention the hours spent in the same posture over a hot stove, doing the same repetitive motions stirring or chopping. Our backs, necks, and shoulders can really suffer during the holidays.
Thankfully, massage therapy can help!
For best results, we would start with the muscles that are over used/chronically shortened (like Pectoralis Major), and then work on the muscles that are over-worked while also stretched out by bigger, stronger neighboring muscles (like Trapezius).
Then, we would figure out some stretches and/or other activities to help you manage on your own, and before you know it you don't even need my help anymore! ..Until the next time you manage to hurt yourself at least!

Do you have pain around your low back, knees, and/or thighs that's worse when you sit for 15-20 minutes, or stand for 15-20 minutes?
This can come from a displacement of your sacrum bone (the middle bone of your pelvis, and second-to-last bone of your spine), and can be incredibly uncomfortable or painful from even a small shift.
Thankfully, the fix is pretty quick, simple, and easy! A trained professional, like myself, would assess your sacrum to see how it's displaced, and then use your muscles to help guide the bone back into place and do some massage to ensure the supporting muscles don't pull the bone back out of place right away. Then, some light exercise, like walking, would help to ensure the bone stays put and you could find significant relief in as few as one treatment!
If you're curious if this could be going on with you, send me a text, email, or call!
I would be honored to help you begin your healing journey.
