Audition Mode
12/27/2024
A chapter closes, but the memories remain. With heartfelt gratitude, we announce that Audition Mode is bidding farewell. For the past 15 years, we've loved every seminar working with all the participants on their journey to become better musicians and horn players. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way, but especially to Maddy Tarantelli who made our last few years fantastic!
Until next time, we wish you all the best.

Karls Horn of the Week 6-3–19
This week’s DSO concert includes Bela Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra. Commissioned by Serge Koussevitsky to display the extraordinary talents of his musicians of the Boston Symphony, the piece has been in the standard repertoire ever since its premiere in 1944. Bartok was inspired by the wealth of folk music of his native country and this piece with its brilliant orchestration, melodic fertility and rhythmic vitality is a twentieth century masterpiece.
Karl will use his Kortesmaki/Hill triple horn for this symphony.
The DSO webcast for this concert will be Sunday, June 9th at 3 pm EDT. https://www.dso.org/live
