Lots of Red Tent ladies served at Crossroads GO Day today! Some went to CitylLink to support Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA). EMA is a court approved prevention program designed to advocate for moms and crisis to preserve their families. We went shopping amd restocked the supply closet and wrote personal encouragement notes to participants on their journey through the multi-week program designed to achieve ability and help families stay together. interested in finding out more about how to be an EMA Advocate? https://trellis.ema.org/advocate-interest

✨ Pitch Night exceeded our expectations! ✨

Our partners absolutely knocked it out of the park - each sharing their heart, vision, and mission to serve women and children locally and around the world in just three minutes. They were so compelling, and the votes were so close, that TWO $1,000 grants were awarded! 🎉

💙 OneCity For Recovery received one grant to support their care coordinators who walk alongside individuals working to overcome drug addiction.

🌱 Rising Leaders Cincinnati received the other grant, helping young people break the cycle of poverty. This grant will support Arnell, a young woman in the program, as she leads a prayer retreat for young people - modeled after the retreat she attended when Emily Rempe led one for Red Tent.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible partners - International Justice Mission, OneCity For Recovery, Side by Side, Rising Leaders Cincinnati, and CityLink Center / Every Mom’s Advocate - who participated in Pitch Night. And special gratitude to a very generous Red Tent woman who made these grants possible. ❤️

We also collected basic home items that will be given to women who are starting over with the help of The Four-Seven ministry. Also, we filled a suitcase for Build The Future with exactly 50 pounds (airline requirement) of educational items that will be given to their preschool in South Africa. Nicely done, ladies!

Last Saturday, Red Tent ladies and their families activated with the Free Store Food Bank to help feed families in our community. It was a great time fueled by a great mission!

The Freestore Foodbank mission is to improve lives by eliminating hunger in partnership with their community, and their vision is to create a hunger-free, healthy, and thriving community. To achieve this vision, their objectives are to provide nutritious food, connect to support services, and offer a pathway from crisis to stability.

Keep an eye open for future activations with this amazing organization!

We activated with Side by Side and connected with parents whose native language is not English. It was a rewarding experience to come alongside them, engage in meaningful interactions, and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment. We can't wait to do it again!
