Jet Machine

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Machine Operator works in the Machining Department and is responsible for general CNC machining of metal parts. Responsibilities and job duties include:

• Operating various milling and turning machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specifications
• Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperwork
• Ensuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion
• Informing Machining Lead of any problems or improvements of the manufacturing process
• General workmanship including deburring and cleaning finished parts
• Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment
• Other tasks as assigned

JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• High School education or equivalent
• Basic math skills and basic blue print reading
• Basic understanding of machine program and ability to
make tool offsets
• Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety
• Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up
to 50 pounds
• Possession of personal basic hand tools is preferred
