We set a goal to raise $250,000 for our More Arts More Kids initiative and we surpassed it thanks to you! A special shout out to our challenge supporters, the Cintas Corporation Cares Foundation and Julia & Leigh Fox, and major supporters including The Christ Hospital Health Network, Kerry and Missy Byrne and Bob and Jeanne Coughlin for putting us over the top!

Your support helps send 20,000 local students on arts-related field trips this year. These experiences inspire creativity, spark curiosity and give young people opportunities to engage with the arts in meaningful ways.

Some performances do more than fill a room with music. They create space for people to feel seen.

Through "Existence is Resistance," the Queen City Freedom Band brought together musicians, audiences and community members for an evening celebrating identity, belonging and the power of sharing our stories. Through music and conversation, the program uplifted LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC voices while creating a welcoming space for connection, reflection and community.

From the first note to the final applause, the message was clear: every voice matters, every story deserves to be heard, and together we are stronger.

This project was conducted by the Queen City Freedom Band with support from an ArtsWave Pride Grant.
