Glycolic Acid 50% Peels
What is it?

It is a chemical peel that is derived from sugar cane and is a fruit acid. It is part of the alpha hydroxyl family of natural ingredients. When applied to the skin, it helps to remove the “glue” that holds the older, rough and dryer skin on the surface. As it removes that top layer of the skin, the fresh new layer is revealed giving your skin a fresher, brighter look. There is no downtime. People with acne, pimples, uneven skin coloring and wrinkles will derive the most benefit. Most people will need more than one treatment.

Side Effects?
There are few if any side effects to having a glycolic acid peel. Right after the treatment you may have some warmth, but this usually goes away quickly. You may have some redness (especially if you are very fair or have very sensitive skin). It can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so it is important to wear a good sun block after having the glycolic peel.
