Cincinnati's don't-miss festival converts 30 blocks of downtown, Over-the-Rhine and Covington into a dizzying lineup of evening art exhibitions featuring light shows and projections over four days (October 13-16).

On your way to the BLINK parade down Fifth Street on October 13, pop in The Emery lobby (1112 Walnut St) at 5 p.m. to see the new "Cincinnati" mural from New Orleans artist Ellen Macomber. The installation came about after Chris and Jen Frutkin of , the parent company behind the historic complex, saw Ellen's Parisian-style mural inside Justine, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant in New Orleans. Chris and Jen fell in love with the mural that pores through various stages of New Orleans history in multiple hues. The love affair led to a commission for Ellen to install a mural inside The Emery. The mural is made from fabric and other materials and pinpoints key Cincinnati personalities with homages to local birds, insects, flowers, and flying pigs over the city's street grid.

The Emery opening reception and pop-up shop is free and open to the public. DM to schedule a visit and check out her mural and wearable art. Visit ellenmacomber.com for more info.
