📚✨ *Investing in Education is Investing in the Future!* ✨📚

At Citizens Initiative, we believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment and progress. Our project at Masibinta Secondary School in Binga, Zimbabwe, is a testament to the transformative power of investing in education.

In 2020, we began by helping the school complete a much-needed classroom block. Then, in 2022, with the generous support of **IOM (International Organization for Migration)** and the dedication of our incredible volunteers, we constructed a fully furnished classroom block and donated books for most subjects. These efforts have already started to bear fruit:

📈 The school's pass rate has seen a remarkable improvement:
- 2023: 0%
- 2024: 13.2%
- 2025: 41.03%

This progress would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, donors, and volunteers. A heartfelt **THANK YOU** to everyone who contributed to this journey—your belief in the power of education is changing lives!

This is a clear reminder that when we come together to support education, we create opportunities for students to thrive and communities to grow. Education is not just about building classrooms; it’s about building dreams, confidence, and a brighter future for all.

Let’s continue to invest in education and empower the next generation to reach their full potential. Together, we can make a lasting impact! 💪🌍

🙏 *Thank you to IOM, our donors, and volunteers for making this possible!* 🙏

Chingwizi Update:

1/4 Folks, we are delighted that we are finally on the ground in Chingwizi. We started delivering materials today- bricks, concrete stones, riversand…We are sourcing the materials from Chiredzi, the nearest town.

2/4 Additionally we had our first planning meeting with the SDC, school staff and a team of community members who will be doing the construction. The SDC will work with local leadership to mobilise community members to assist in the project.

3/4 We anticipate to start digging the foundation in the next few days. Construction will begin as soon as inspectors from the Mwenezi RDC give us the nod.

4/4 Will still have a huge shortfall from what we need to complete the classroom block. Currently we have raised $6k out of the $25k we need. We need you help! Every penny counts. Lets do this people!
