After listening to me blather on about wanting to learn to sew my own clothes for the last two years (and doing exactly zero about it), my husband got me a sewing machine for Christmas 🧵

It took me a few days to get around to unboxing it, since the holidays are always insane, and then it took me forever to read the manual and practice threading the thing, after which I practiced straight lines before graduating myself to corners

The algorithm on my personal account has slowly been transitioning me into the sewing community, and I stumbled upon the other day, and her beginner-friendly pincushion seemed like the perfect, practical project to begin my sewing journey—and it was!

I used all supplies I already had at home (fabric and thread from lining crocheted bags, fiberfill from stuffing amigurumi, button from the supply I got when crocheting my graduation dress) and I felt quite resourceful

Not sure what my next make will be, but now I won’t have to buy a pincushion 🪡
