​Today, we honor you, Teresa—my beautiful sis—as we look back on an extraordinary 38-year journey in education.

​The Foundation: 34 Years at CVESD

​For over three decades, the Chula Vista School District was blessed to be your home. 34 years is not just a timeline; it is a lifetime of mornings dedicated to others, of classrooms filled with laughter and breakthroughs, and of seeds planted in young minds that have now grown into doctors, teachers, artists, and parents. You were the steady anchor, the safe harbor, and the champion for so many children who just needed someone to believe in them. You didn’t just teach curriculum; you taught children how to believe in themselves.

​The Extension: Sweetwater

​But your passion for education couldn’t be contained to just one chapter. True educators never really stop giving. You extended your gift for another 4 years, sharing your wisdom, experience, and grace with the Sweetwater and San Diego Unified School Districts. Bringing your total to a monumental 38 years of service in San Diego Unified School District, you proved that your dedication wasn't just a career—it was a calling.

​You have given so much of your life to the future of our community. You have worked with patience when it was hard, with enthusiasm when you were tired, and always, always, with an open heart.
​As you look back on these 38 incredible years, please know that your impact is immeasurable. The world is a kinder, smarter, and brighter place because you chose to be a teacher.
