Breaking patterns does take a bit of courage. Oftentimes that courage comes once the pain of staying the same is just too great to handle anymore, but it doesn't have to get that far and it doesn't have to be that scary.
1. Take a look at the patterns you notice might not be right for where you are in your life.
2. Explore different options that can help you carve a new path.
3. Then practice aspects of that new path until the old pattern is out of the picture.
It will take time and attention but that is time well spent to upgrade your patterns to fit your life. And if you find yourself feeling stuck and needing some help, give me a call.

A quote from Dr. Ida P. Rolf: In a human body, support is not something solid. Support is relationship.
What does she mean? In the body, it is not the bones that hold us up, it is the relationship that everything in our bodies has to everything else in the body and the relationship that our bodies have in gravity.
Your foot supports you but is not a solid thing. "The foot is a complex mechanical structure of the human body composed of 33 joints, 26 bones, and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments that all work together to bear weight, allow for locomotion, and transmit force." - NIH
It is the relationship of all the parts of the foot and how they relate to the rest of the body that brings (or doesn't) the support necessary for life.
If the relationships are not supportive, Structural Integration can help.
