Light Your Own Way

While I don’t generally support Reiki initiation for newborns, children are never too young to learn the value of appropriate human touch.

Not only is touch from loving individuals healthy and even healing, children can also learn to support themselves through one or all of the 8 basic Reiki hand placements long before they receive Reiki initiation.

Try substituting Time Outs with Time Ins, quiet time when the child can recover from the overstimulation of the world around them.

You can model this experience for them by placing. for example, your hands over your heart, closing your eyes, and resting back into a comfortable chair.

Children will want to do what they see the adults around them doing.

Inspire them in self-care; never enforce it. That only creates backlash.
