Cycleland Speedway- points race #12

The Jones Family hit the track for points racing action at Cycleland speedway yesterday!

Baylee continues to impress and show great improvement in the beginner box stock division! She started out by timing in 10th quick! She lined up 2nd for her heat race, got out to the lead and led a few laps in her heat! She ultimately fell to 3rd, but this strong run gave her a new confidence.
Baylee then started pole of the b main and ran 2nd to earn a transfer spot to the a main! Starting the A main 14th, Baylee continued to show her growth as a driver and brought home the car in 15th!

Elijah returned to the clones at Cycleland by timing in 14th quick. He started 3rd in the heat and was able to get to 2nd earning a transfer spot to the main! Starting in 4th, Elijah ran a strong race but wasn’t able to hold the lead. He settled for 4th to wrap up points race 12!

Ricky returned to the clone class subbing for Karlee last night! Starting the night strong timing in 8th quick. Ricky started on the pole of his heat race. He unfortunately fell to 3rd and had to run the b main. Starting 2nd, Ricky looked hopeful to make the transfer unfortunately his run came to an early end with damage and ended his night with 6 laps left in the B.

Baylee will be back in action next Saturday for points race #13 while the rest of the family will hit the track again in a few weeks!

ITS RACE DAY!

The Jones family is Cycleland Speedway - Chico Ca for points race #12 of the season!
After making the trip to Eureka last weekend, the team is ready to keep the momentum going back on their home track.

The only change to tonight's lineup is Ricky Jones, who will be filling in for Karlee Jones in the Caged Clone class..

RESULTS

Day two of the SRT Challenge at Redwood Outlaw Karts for the Jones Family Racing wrapped up last night.

Baylee ran in the beginner box stock division. She timed in 21st quick. This lined her up to start 6th in the heat race. She unfortunately wasn’t able to hold on and came in 7th on the tricky track. This lined her up to start 6th in the b main. Knowing only two transferred to the main, Baylee drove hard a smart just coming up one spot short. A bummer to miss the show, but on a technical track Baylee really impressed everyone!

In Caged Clones Elijah and Karlee were up front in the field!
Elijah set the tone by going 2nd quick. This lined him up to start 4th on his heat race. Although Elijah would like to have move forward in the heat the focus was a transfer spot to the main and that’s exactly what he got.
Starting the main event in 3rd, unfortunately Elijah got moved off the race track in the opening laps and sent to the hot pit to repair the car. Elijah then had work to do driving from the rear of the field. Contact with a few other drivers continued to make it difficult for Elijah and he ultimately finished 12th. A disappointing finish to the strong weekend.

Karlee timed in 14th quick. This lined her up to start 5th in her heat race. She got up on the wheel and drove to a 3rd place finish to transfer straight to the A Main event! Starting the main in 9th, Karlee drove a smart race and moved her way forward to finish 4th!

Overall a solid weekend racing for the Jones family!

It’s race day, day number two of the SRT Challenge in Eureka, CA for the Jones Family!

After a strong showing for all three cars last night, they will be back looking for another solid day!

RESULTS

Day one of the SRT Challenge in Eureka has come to a close for the Jones family.
Baylee started the night by timing in 15th quick, in a field of 30 entries! Baylee started on the pole of her heat and didn’t let off the gas, scoring a 2nd place finish and going straight to the A Main event!
Baylee then lined up 11th for the A Main event. She ran a great race, and held on for an 11th place finish.

Karlee timed in 7th quick overall. This lined her up to start 2nd in the heat race. She ran a strong a strong heat race finishing 3rd locking her into the A Main. Lining up 8th in the for the A Main event, Karlee held on during not ideal track conditions to come home 9th!

Elijah started the day out by setting quick time! He started his heat race in 4th but quickly got to the lead to drive away with the heat race win! After the redraw Elijah started 3rd for the main event, and while he was able to contend for the lead he ultimately came home 2nd!

A strong night for the entire family who will be back tomorrow for day number two!
